Common indications for carbon-ion radiotherapy


  • Diagnosis of cancer is confirmed.
  • The lesion can be seen on the image.
  • Has not received radiation therapy in the same area.
  • No extensive distant metastasis.
  • The patient is in good general condition and gives consent.

In addition, parts close to the skin or organs such as the stomach or intestines may not be treated with carbon-ion radiotherapy.
